Nine’s The Block Glasshouse had 1.691 million national/ 1.137 million metro/ 555,000 regional viewers and dominated the night, along with The Bachelor on Ten with 1.216 million national/ 895,000 metro/ 322,000 regional viewers. Big Brother had 934,000 national/ 658,000 metro/ 276,000 regional viewers. As a result Nine did better in the demos in metro markets, even though Seven had more viewers overall. Nine had a tight win the main channels. In the regions, Seven was a clear winner. Ten was third and the ABC was fourth in both areas.

But The Block Glasshouse, The Bachelor and Big Brother were the top three programs in various orders in the demos. And that was the night, oh, Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell on ABC at 8pm had 851,000 national/ 570,000 metro/ 282,000 regional viewers who were smart and very well informed. Apart from these few highlights, a night to forget.
