Another quiet night for TV viewers. Nine won the metros, snuck home overall in the regionals, but Seven had more main channel viewers. Ten was third overall in the metros, tied the main channels (with 11.2%). But in the regions Ten beat the ABC overall, but had more viewers in the main channels.

The Block Glasshouse again did it for Nine, but it wasn’t the most convincing of nights for anyone. It had 1.734 million national viewers, 1.181 million of those in the metros and 552,000 regional viewers. Home and Away was Seven’s most watched program nationally and in the regions, with 1.498 million viewers/ 926,000 metro/ 572,000 regional viewers. That tells us how weak Seven’s other programs were last night.

Seven News won the metros, 1.091 million viewers to Nine’s 1.067 million viewers, with big wins in Adelaide and Perth which more than offset more losses in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Seven again was Bringing Sexy Back at 7.30pm for 1.146 million national viewers/ 687,000 metro/459,000 regionals. It was hardly the most compelling figures for the metros, and again it was helped by solid support from the regions.
